One Circle Groups

Girls Circle

Girls Circle is a structured support group for girls from 9-18 years-old. It aims to counteract social and interpersonal forces that impede girls’ growth and development by promoting an emotionally safe setting and structure within which girls can develop caring relationships and use authentic voices.

PYAC partners with Strengthening Rural Families and the Philomath School District to offer these groups to middle school girls in Philomath.  Thank you to Soroptimist of Corvallis and the Zonta Club of Corvallis for supporting this program.  

The Council

The Council is a strengths-based group approach to promote boys' and young men's safe and healthy passage through pre-teen and adolescent years. The Council meets a core developmental need in boys for strong, positive relationships. In this structured environment, boys and young men gain the vital opportunity to address masculine definitions and behaviors and build their capacities to find their innate value and create good lives - individually and collectively!  PYAC offers The Council to young men at the Philomath Middle School.
